SWOSU Ranked High in U.S. News & World Report Online Program Rankings

Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford is the highest-ranked Oklahoma regional university in the 2018 edition of the Best Online Bachelor’s Programs in the United States, according to U.S. News & World Report.

SWOSU is ranked #115 in the nation among the 1,490 online degree programs that were assessed by U.S. News & World Report.

For working adults with some college credit, completing a four-year degree online may be the most practical way to obtain the knowledge and credentials needed to boost their careers, according to SWOSU Provost Dr. James South.

The factors U.S. News selected to make comparisons between programs were not measures like high school class rank or standardized test scores. Instead, U.S. News chose factors that weigh how these programs are being delivered and their effectiveness at awarding affordable degrees in a reasonable amount of time.

U.S. News assessed schools based on four general categories: student engagement, student service and technology, faculty credentials and training, and peer reputation.
